Lean Six Sigma, a set of tools, techniques, and a disciplined methodology that helps organizations eliminate defects in their critical business processes leading to savings, higher efficiency and effectiveness. It is a blend of two corporate methodologies. "Lean" is a set of methods, initially developed by Toyota, used to ferret out waste, or non-value-added steps, in any repeatable process. This might apply to delays, cycle times or work interruptions. Six Sigma focuses on the elimination of defects through a discipline problem solving methodology which includes Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. Together, the two methods eliminate waste and reduce variation in order to cut costs and improve quality.
Because the toolsets for each can be overwhelming, we have reoriented the process with our Value Delivery Problem Solving™ which emphasizes the uses of those specific tools needed to answer critical questions related to that specific situation. We have found that streamlining the problem solving approach using only those tools needed accelerates the continuous improvement process and is able to identify the appropriate improvements quickly.
Finally, we ensure that your internal resources can replicate the process through training which combines knowledge transfer with stimulating exercises and challenging simulations. Training can be achieved at a number of different levels and is can often be reimbursed through local grants.
